Playing with Your Ego

Nobody really knows where the competitive juices come from. There is probably some egg headed scientist who will tell you that they are created by the pituitary gland while it is equally feasible that they come from a bottle of whisky. Wherever they come from it is what drives people to race their souped-up Camaro against a Ferrari, or cause somebody to walk into a biker bar and order a drink with an umbrella in it and wait for somebody to call them a sissy. While we all enjoy being competitive, we must remember that poker is not only an activity that pits one person against another, it is also one where we try to make money.
