New Jersey Poker Case Starts with Not Guilty Plea

Some two dozen plaintiffs in a sports betting ring that took place in the poker room of an Atlantic City casino have had their day in court, the first of many, and have plead not guilty. Playing in the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, the betting ring reportedly took in some $60 million in bets without the casino's awareness or permission. In some cases it was a family affair with the mother and girlfriend accepting money on behalf of one of the members of the sports betting ring.
