2008 WSOP Forecast, Day Seventeen: World Championship Limit Holdem

Here comes yet another World Championship event at the 39th annual World Series of Poker. The naming of these events is curious: it is understandable from a marketing perspective - they are, after all, taking place in the World Series of Poker, so a World Championship isn't much of a labeling stretch. However it does smack a bit of irrelevance. While many of the World Championship events are $10,000 events, some are not (such as the $1,000 World Championship Ladies Event), so buy in can't be the reason for setting these events aside. Either way players who specialize in Limit Holdem will be looking to this event for a big payoff.
