US State Seeks Control over Poker Domains

The governor of US State Kentucky Steve Beshear is actively seeking to gain control over the domain names of some of the largest online poker rooms in the world, namely Bodog, Full Tilt Poker, DoylesRoom and PokerStars. The governor filed suit to this effect, claiming that by allowing Kentucky residents to play on these sites these online poker rooms are stealing money away from the State's gambling infrastructure, which allows Kentuckians to gamble online at horseracing and lottery sites. Naturally the Poker Players Alliance quickly posted a response to this action, stating that they are "outraged."
